That's supposed to be the Captain guy from Joss Whedon's Firefly. IF you haven't seen the show, check it out. It's good stuff. I'm kind of in a mind to draw The Highlander now though...
As for my day job, I'm now the man in charge of laying out Beetle Bailey collections in Scandinavia.
